Sharing the Board Statement - Release on Jan 29, 2023 / Agreed and Signed by All Outgoing Board of Directors
STATEMENT FROM THE SIHA BOARD
29 January 2023
Dear Fellow SIHA homeowners,
Happy weekend to all!
In order to provide some clarity and direction on the current concerns of our community, as the incumbent Board, we would like to share with you the following:
1. We made a mistake in the application for our SIHA registration at DHSUD. It should have been a two (2) step process because we came from Southern Square Homeowners:
(1) Segregation process and
(2) New Registration process
We missed filing (item #1); thus, we can expect that the previous approval given to SIHA will be revoked any time soon.
2. The Board takes full accountability on above and will exhaust all efforts to facilitate the application for Segregation and immediately followed by New Registration. The requirement for Segregation is not difficult to prepare but we would like to seek your patience and extend help when and where needed. We also do not see any problem with Southern Square as they would want to file for their renewal, thus would be beneficial for them if the approval for Segregation gets facilitated. Again, we sincerely apologize for this, and we ask everyone to enjoin us in this endeavor.
3. Given that (item #2) will take some time, we know that we should remain to be organized. The Board will conduct a survey on Jan 31-Feb 3 to consult all homeowners on their preference while we await the completion of segregation and new registration.
There will be two (2) questions:
Question #1: Which of the following do you prefer?
A) Status quo: retain existing Board to lead our community until the New Registration is approved with the following composition:
President : Suzette Borromeo
Vice President : Bing Palanca
Secretary : Jake Velasco
Treasurer : Helen Salita
Asst. Treasurer : to be designated or nominated soon based on poll result.
Auditor : Lordy Fernando
Board Member : Luis Pimentel
Conduct a survey on the Asst Treasurer - Question: Who do you nominate as the Asst Treasurer? ____________________________
*Joint Bank Account will be opened w/ Pres/Treas/Asst. Treas. as signatories.
B) Conduct an election for the Interim Officers until New Registration is approved. This includes the Asst Treasurer position. If this option wins, then Nomination forms will be circulated once again, and an election will take place.
Whichever option wins from the survey, we strongly enjoin everyone and expect that we will honor, respect, and support the outcome.
Regardless of option above, the Asst Treasurer will handle the finances in case that the Treasurer is not available.
4. To facilitate communication and dissemination of important announcements to the Homeowners, there will only be one (1) Viber official group for this that will be subject to communication rules and ethics. The Board will create and share this within the next 3-5 days and will also designate Administrators who will enforce the rules. All registered homeowners will be part of this group.
Other existing viber groups may be retained and can use for inspirational messages, selling, jokes, birthday greetings, etc. Since these are not official, it is the option of the homeowner to retain in these groups.
All personal matters and exchanges must never be done in the official viber group, and the designated Administrators have the authority to remove undesirable messages.
